Portfolio Budget Statements
Portfolio Budget Statements (external website, new window) (PBS) inform Senators and Members of Parliament of proposed revenue/resources that the Government will allocate within a specified Budget period to Government agencies in order to achieve and deliver on specific outcomes stated in the PBS.
Outcomes are the intended results, impacts or consequences of actions by the Government on the Australian community. Under each outcome, the PBS lists the key strategic objectives and performance indicators that agencies are required to deliver on as their contribution to achieving Government outcomes over the Budget period and forward years.
IBA’s outcomes and outputs, and corresponding key performance indicators, are described in the annual Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Portfolio Budget Statements which is based on IBA delivering one ’outcome’ : Stimulating the economic advancement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Read a summary of the objectives IBA is required to deliver under the 2012-2013 Portfolio Budget Statements.
Our Annual Reports also detail IBA’s performance against these objectives and key performance indicators on a yearly basis.
