Who is IBA?
Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) is a progressive, commercially focused organisation that promotes and encourages self-management, self-sufficiency and economic independence for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
IBA employs more than 250 people from diverse cultural background and demographics. Interest and/or experience in the banking and finance sector, policy development and corporate services if often an advantage while all positions require a strong customer service focus and compliance with IBA’s Code of Conduct.
IBA supports the employment, retention and advancement of Indigenous Australians in the work force. At present, approximately one quarter of IBA’s employees are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.

How to apply
IBA does not usually require applicants to write detailed statements against each selection criteria except for the most senior positions. A copy of your resume with a covering letter that explains your interest in the position is usually all that is required. If there are other requirements for a particular position, you will be contacted after your application is considered.

- New employees are subject to a probationary period, security and medical clearances.
- Current APS staff should note that IBA staff are not engaged under the Public Service Act and in most cases are required to resign APS employment to take up an appointment with IBA.
