State Coordinators

There are a wide variety of national government programs specifically designed to assist with Indigenous asset creation, business support and employment and training opportunities.

Since 2007 four State Coordinators have ensured that Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) has a strong representation at a national, state and regional level.

IBA State Coordinators work with our program areas to identify and coordinate a collaborative approach to Indigenous commercial opportunities. They provide, advice, analysis and expertise to assist Indigenous business people, private enterprise and Government stakeholders to achieve real results on the ground in their local regions.

A current priority is to develop collaborative housing solutions – including home ownership – with government, private enterprise and Indigenous groups that will assist in the resolution of housing shortages in Indigenous communities.

Recently IBA has assisted with community consultation, design development and tender documentation for initiatives such as the Northern Territory National Emergency Response, and the Cape York Welfare Reform Trials.

IBA’s State Coordinators are:

Western Australia Margaret Rasa (email link)
Queensland Suzi Lodder (email link)
Northern Territory Andrew Plate (email link)
New South Wales, Victoria
and Tasmania
Wendy Hills (email link)

State Coordinators are available to share their Indigenous economic development expertise at public speaking engagements, conferences and events and are available to coordinate forums on specific issues pertaining to Indigenous business.
