IBA Investments
IBA Investments works with the private sector and Indigenous Australians to encourage and foster Indigenous economic independence. IBA invests directly in business opportunities, often through joint venture arrangements with expert industry partners and Indigenous organisations, communities and/or individuals. The objective is to participate in businesses that provide for profit distribution, employment opportunities and asset growth.
IBA Investments operates through the Acquisitions and Equity teams. The Acquisitions team identifies, develops and assesses potential investment opportunites. The Equity team monitors the ongoing financial, operational and strategic performance of IBA Investments' commercial enterprises.
IBA believes it is extremely valuable for Indigenous communities, organisations and/or individuals to be actively involved in all aspects of commercial operations including participation on Boards of directors or in the management team. The experience allows Indigenous Australians to learn more about corporate governance and managing and operating a business.
