IBA Employment Conditions

Indigenous Business Australia is a Commonwealth Statutory Authority, established in 2001, and growing rapidly due to additional functions acquired under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Act 2005.  The Act requires IBA to promote and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander self-management and self-sufficiency and to advance their commercial and economic interests using a significant capital asset for their benefit.

The Act also requires IBA to act at all times in accordance with sound business principles.  IBA's employment conditions and staff management practices reflect this business focus.  We have a highly committed and engaged workforce - we believe in what we are doing and want IBA to be successful.  We offer common law contracts, with salaries generally 4% higher, to enhance our Collective Agreement conditions.

  • Up to 15% performance bonus available each year
  • 4% pay rises each July for fully effective employees
  • 15.4% employer contribution to superannuation
  • relocation assistance can be negotiated
