Graduate Program
IBA welcomes applications from Indigenous graduates year round, particularly those with qualifications in accounting, finance, law or business. We prefer to appoint our graduates in small numbers so we can offer an individual development program within a progressive and commercially focused environment.
Graduates can work from either our Canberra or Brisbane office.

IBA is committed to stimulating and supporting the sustainable economic development of Indigenous Australians for the benefit of current and future generations. Our staff are involved in facilitating:
- Indigenous home ownership
- Indigenous participation in business, through commercial enterprises and partnerships
- business advice and mentoring for Indigenous Australians, and
- Indigenous participation in the pwnership of companies and investments.
What is our Graduate Program?
IBA’s Graduate Program provides opportunities for Indigenous graduates to apply their professional knowledge and skills within a work environment. As an IBA graduate, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and experience for a career in IBA or elsewhere.
Why our Graduate Program?
IBA graduates are given the opportunity to contribute to achieving our strategic objectives, which inspire our way of doing business and ensuring the outcomes we achieve contribute significantly to economic independence for Indigenous Australians.
As a graduate with IBA, the opportunity exists for working directly with Indigenous clients. We do not believe in a ‘one-size fits all’ graduate program. Our graduates can participate in a structured development program with rotation through a variety of positions to develop their career with IBA.
Alternatively our graduates can be placed directly in a permanent position with an individual development plan that provides progression within their area of professional skill. Your salary will also be set on an individual basis, related to your skills and role. IBA is committed to attracting and supporting Indigenous employees and promoting a culturally supportive workplace.
