Proposed shopping centre development heralds new jobs

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) and Nambucca Heads Local Aboriginal Land Council have received approval to develop a major shopping and retail centre in Nambucca.

Nambucca Shire Council approved the development which is to be built on land owned by the Land Council in Bellwood Road, Nambucca on Thursday 5 March 2009.

An economic impact assessment report by HillPDA a leading provider of location intelligence and retail analysis, predicts that once operational, the shopping centre could generate
approximately 370 additional full and part-time jobs in the Shire; representing in excess of $8 million in salary and wages.
