IBA and Jawoyn people form spectacular Cicada Lodge joint venture

Indigenous Business Australia and the Northern Territory based Nitmiluk Tours have formed a joint venture to develop the luxury accommodation property, Cicada Lodge, in the Nitmiluk National Park.

Nitmiluk Tours, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Jawoyn Association Aboriginal Corporation, operates tours and cruising to Katherine Gorge and also owns and operates the Nitmiluk Visitors Centre and Cafe, Nitmiluk Campground and Kiosk, Nitmiluk Chalets and Maud Creek Lodge.

The Cicada Lodge joint venture will be a 50-50 partnership with Nitmiluk intending to acquire IBA’s equity using the profits generated by this business and their other business interests.
